God is amazing!
Hello from York! Its been a cool week (in terms of temperature and events that have happened!)
We started off the week with quite a bit of snow which was really pretty. For the rest of the week its been icy, cold and wet and all the snow has gone now which is a shame.
I got a job this week! Its in a nursery so I get to play with and look after kids all day which is something I hope I will enjoy. Once I get into the job I will also hopefully be able to use my teaching skills a bit to help the little kids get ready for moving to school! I am really looking forward to getting into a proper job and not just a temporary or part time job. Getting used to the full time work might take a bit of getting used to but hopefully it will be ok.
So yeah, this week has reminded me that God really is amazing! All the way through the job hunt and searching I gave the situation completely to God and trusted him with every application I did. I knew the reason why I didn’t get all the jobs I applied for was because they were not right for me due to various factors. Looking back I can also see how I wouldn’t have been suited to some of the jobs I didn’t get anyway.
However, God obviously wanted me to have this job which is great. It is doing something I want to do and hopefully it will allow me to begin my career in a good way. It has come just at the right time too, after a little break from working in a shop. Another good thing about the job is that it is right on the way to where Kieran works so transport shouldn’t be a problem.
The last few months have really shown me again and again that trusting God is a really good thing! I feel that life is really good right now – I have got married and have the best husband, we have a lovely little house not too far away from my family and now we both have jobs we want to be doing. I couldn’t ask – anything more!
So that is my thought for the day – trust God whatever the situation He takes you into is! Things always work out for a reason in the end, its just about having the faith to continue the trust sometimes.
